Active Ingredient:
•Curcumin, the yellow pigment in curry spice, Turmeric, is the principal curcuminoid in the rhizome of Curcuma longa Linn. The plant is belonging to ginger family (Zingiberaceae) and is native to India and south-east Asia. Curcumin is the prototypical curcuminoid and has effects similar to other polyphenols (diarylheptanoid). In combination with other main curcuminoids including desmethoxycurcumin, bis-desmethoxycurcumin and cyclo-curcumin, they form 3-5% of dried turmeric powder.
Traditional applications:
