Wastewater treatment by MBR method is one of the biological treatment processes that consists of a combination of conventional activated sludge processes with the membrane system. In this system, the combination of aeration, secondary sedimentation and filtration units in a reservoir has replaced conventional purification processes. In this process, replacing the secondary sedimentation unit with a membrane filtration system provides benefits such as increased operational stability, reduced excess sludge production, and much higher quality effluent. This process is a suitable process that can be used in a wide range of industrial wastewater treatment.
